Is your seating tired or faded?
Worn-out interiors, made new again
Sun, saltwater and years of use flatten foam, crack vinyl and fade color. At Williams Quality Covers, we transform worn-out interiors into fresh, durable and stylish spaces, one cushion at a time, and we color-match to your boat’s existing scheme wherever possible.
What we use
Built to handle the Pacific Northwest
Premium vinyl
We use heavy-duty, UV-treated marine vinyl designed to withstand constant sun exposure and heavy use without cracking or peeling.
Foam replacement
Don’t just change the look, fix the feel. We replace sagging, water-logged cushions with high-resiliency anti-microbial foam for lasting comfort.
Built for the PNW
From Lake Washington to the San Juans, our upholstery is engineered for the Pacific Northwest’s specific blend of moisture and salt air.
How it works
From worn seating to ready for spring, in five steps
Every reupholstery project follows the same careful process, whether it’s one cushion or a full interior.
Consultation & color match
We look at your seating, talk through vinyl options, and match color and pattern to your boat as closely as possible.
Removal & assessment
Cushions come off the boat so we can check the foam, frame and backing for hidden water damage or rot.
Foam replacement
Flattened or water-logged foam is replaced with high-resiliency, anti-microbial foam cut to the original shape.
Pattern & sew
We pattern new marine vinyl panels and sew each cushion in our Kirkland shop with marine-grade thread.
Install & final fit
Finished cushions go back on your boat, checked for a tight, comfortable fit before we call the job done.
Why now
Winter is the best time to reupholster
Your boat is already out of the water and out of use for the season, so there’s no downtime cost to having your cushions off the boat. Canvas work is slower for us in the winter months too, which means more hands and more attention on your upholstery project, with a faster turnaround than you’d get in peak season.
- Your boat isn’t in use, so there’s no lost boating time
- Faster turnaround while our canvas shop is quieter
- Fresh, comfortable seating ready for the first warm weekend
- Book ahead of the spring rush on covers and canvas

Common questions
Marine upholstery FAQ
How long does reupholstering boat cushions take?
Most cushion projects take 1 to 3 weeks depending on how many pieces and the complexity of the pattern. Winter bookings generally move faster than our spring and summer canvas season, since upholstery gets our full attention.
Can you match my boat’s existing color or pattern?
Yes. We color-match to your existing interior or canvas as closely as the available marine vinyl allows, and we’re happy to talk through options if you’d rather freshen up the look with something new.
Do I need all new foam, or just new vinyl?
It depends on the cushion. If the foam is still firm and dry, we can often re-cover it with new vinyl alone. If it’s flattened, water-logged or holding odor, we recommend replacing it with high-resiliency, anti-microbial foam while the cushion is already open.
Can I drop off cushions instead of bringing in the whole boat?
In most cases, yes. Boat seating is typically removable, so you can bring in just the cushions, which is one more reason winter works well for this kind of project.
Is marine vinyl different from regular upholstery vinyl?
Yes. Marine-grade vinyl is UV-treated and built to resist cracking, fading and mildew in a way that standard indoor upholstery vinyl is not, which matters for Pacific Northwest sun, moisture and salt air.
