Got Something That Needs Sewing? We Can Probably Fix It.

A good industrial sewing machine and marine-grade materials can do a lot more than boat covers.

Most of what we do is boats, but the same heavy-duty machines, marine thread and hardware that hold up to saltwater work just as well on patio cushions, pet beds, bags, awnings and the odd thing that broke and nobody else wants to touch. If it’s torn, worn, or you just have an idea, send us a photo and let’s talk about it.

What we can help with

Custom sewing, well beyond the boat

Our machines and materials were built for the harshest conditions on the water, which makes them overkill, in a good way, for almost everything else.

Furniture & cushion covers

Indoor and outdoor furniture, patio cushions, window seats and bench cushions, recovered or rebuilt in durable, fade-resistant fabric.

Awnings & shade

Patio awnings, shade sails and canopy panels, patterned and sewn to fit your space.

Pet & animal gear

Dog beds, kennel pads and horse blankets, rebuilt with tough, washable, outdoor-rated materials.

Equipment & machine covers

Custom covers for grills, generators, AC units, and other equipment that lives outside.

Bags, straps & gear repair

Heavy canvas bags, totes, and worn straps or webbing, patched, re-stitched or rebuilt.

Rug & carpet binding

Custom edging and binding repair for rugs, stair runners and marine carpet. See rug & carpet binding →

If it’s torn, we can probably fix it

Not every project fits neatly on a list. If you’ve got something unusual, a one-off idea, a repair nobody else wanted to take on, or just a question about whether we can help, send us a photo and a few details. We like a good challenge, and a sewing machine this capable shouldn’t just sit idle between boat seasons.

Common questions

Custom sewing & repair FAQ

Do you only work on boats?

No. Boats are most of our business, but the same machines and materials work well on furniture, bags, pet gear, awnings and plenty of things that have nothing to do with a boat. If you’re not sure whether we can help, ask.

Can you build something from scratch, not just repair it?

Yes. If you have an idea for something custom, a cover, a bag, a cushion, send us a description or a sketch and we’ll tell you if it’s something we can build.

What materials do you use for non-marine projects?

It depends on the project. For outdoor items we typically use the same UV- and water-resistant fabrics we use on boats, since they hold up far better than standard indoor materials. For indoor pieces we can also source fabric to match your space.

Do you do rug and carpet binding?

Yes. It’s one of our most requested services. See our dedicated rug & carpet binding page for details and examples.

How long does a custom or repair project take?

It depends on the size and complexity of the piece. Simple repairs can often turn around quickly; custom builds typically take a few weeks. We’ll give you a timeline with your quote.

Have something that needs a needle and thread?

Send us a photo. If we can fix it or build it, we’ll tell you how.
