Custom Boat Canvas Fabrication

Built for Pacific Northwest weather.

Universal, off-the-shelf boat covers fail in harsh PNW conditions. We hand-pattern every cover to your exact hull and fabricate it in our Kirkland shop using marine-grade Sunbrella® fabric and PTFE thread, so it protects your boat from rain, wind and debris, season after season.

What we build

Three things that make a cover last

Every cover is meticulously patterned to the exact lines of your hull, so it fits tight to the frame, eliminates water pooling, and resists wind-whip damage.

Custom patterning & fit

Every cover is patterned to your hull, not a generic size chart, for a tight, tailored fit that performs like it was built for your boat, because it was.

Marine-grade materials

We use Sunbrella® fabric and high-tenacity PTFE thread that won’t rot under UV exposure, so your canvas keeps its fit and look for years.

Locally fabricated in Kirkland

Is your canvas ready for the season?

Five warning signs to check at the dock

Pacific Northwest weather is hard on marine fabric. If you’re not sure whether you need a patch-up or a full replacement, check for these five signs on your next dockside inspection.

Brittle or thinning fabric

Press on the sun-exposed areas. Stiff, crunchy or paper-thin fabric means the UV inhibitors have broken down and it’s prone to tearing.

Stretching & water pooling

Sagging areas that collect rainwater mean the fabric has stretched, putting real weight on your support poles.

Thread rot & fraying seams

Tug a seam gently. If the thread snaps easily, your seams are failing even if the fabric still looks fine.

Cloudy or cracked windows

Clouding, yellowing or cracked clear vinyl reduces visibility and safety on the water.

Corroded or loose snaps

Loose or corroded snaps let wind catch the edges, which can cause serious wind-whip damage to your hull.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

How long do custom marine canvas covers last?

Every cover and condition is different, but with premium Sunbrella® fabric and marine-grade thread, covers typically last 8–12+ years with proper care, far longer than a standard boat cover.

What areas do you serve?

Our fabrication shop is in Kirkland, WA, and we proudly serve boat owners across the Greater Seattle area and the Eastside, including Bellevue, Redmond, Woodinville, Kenmore and Renton. For larger projects we regularly travel to marinas throughout King and Snohomish counties.

Because precision covers require exact, hands-on fitment, we travel to your moorage, dry storage facility or driveway so the patterning phase is done right for your specific vessel.

What is the typical turnaround time for a custom cover?

Most fabrications are completed within 2 to 4 weeks of your initial consultation, depending on your boat’s size and the complexity of the design. We pattern on-site, then cut and stitch at our Kirkland shop. We work efficiently, but we don’t rush the craftsmanship.

Demand spikes as boaters prep for the PNW boating season, so we recommend booking during late fall or winter to beat the spring rush.

Can you repair my existing canvas, or do I need a full replacement?

We evaluate every project individually for the most cost-effective, durable solution. If your canvas is structurally sound but has rotted thread, torn seams or cloudy windows, repair can often extend its life by several seasons.

If the fabric itself has gone brittle from UV exposure, or has stretched enough that water pools on top, a full replacement is usually the safer investment. We’ll give you an honest read during your consultation.

I had canvas work done on my 1989 38 ft Bayliner. I am really pleased with the work, but also with the professional and friendly service Roger provided. Roger came up with recommandations along the way not only to improve the final product but also save time and money! I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing canvas work!

I have been struggling for several years to find the perfect cover for our patio furniture for the winter. William Quality Covers came through with a cover that is an absolute PERFECT FIT. The fabric is a lighter weight than some of the previous covers we have had, which were bulky and became dirty very fast. This new cover has heavy duty seaming, but is much easier to store during the summer and cleans up MUCH BETTER than the heavy canvas one we had before. The quality and customer service was excellent and I highly recommend anyone who is looking for an exceptional solution to covering and protecting their furniture or boat. ( we rushed to cover our table tonight, before the rains hit)

Roger did an amazing job to help us bring our snap-on cover for our boat back to life. Before seeing Roger, our cover was starting to fall apart on the edges and some of the snaps had fallen off, it also had a hole in the middle where one of the snaps had fallen. He redid the entire edge, put new snaps everywhere, added waterproofing material and it turned out like new. Furthermore, he is just a joy to work with, extremely responsive, friendly and just one of those people that you can right way tell you are dealing with a good person. Thanks Roger!
